1. General betting conditions
These rules apply to bets placed through the Betman9 website and any other betting channel made available to eligible account holders. Additional conditions may appear on a particular market, event, promotion or bet slip. If a specific market rule conflicts with a general rule, the specific rule will normally apply to that market. Players should read all information shown before confirming a bet.
Page contents
Betting is available only to people who meet the applicable age, identity, location and account requirements. You must use the service only where online betting is lawful and permitted for you. Betman9 may restrict access, suspend an account or decline a transaction where required by law, a regulatory obligation, a security concern or an internal compliance process.
- You must provide accurate, current and complete account information.
- You must keep your login details confidential and must not allow another person to use your account.
- You must place bets for your own account and not on behalf of another person.
- You must not use the service for unlawful activity, fraud, manipulation or any attempt to avoid applicable restrictions.
- You are responsible for checking the details of every bet before confirming it.
- You should keep your account information and payment details up to date.
A person must not place a bet while under the influence of alcohol or another substance that may affect their judgement. Betting should be treated as entertainment, not as a way to make income, recover losses or resolve financial difficulties. There is no guarantee that any bet will win.
2. Accounts, bet placement and acceptance
Account responsibility
Each player may hold only the account or accounts permitted under the applicable account terms. An account is personal to the registered player. You must not sell, transfer, share or otherwise provide access to your account. If you believe that someone else has accessed your account, change your password where possible and notify the relevant support channel without delay.
Betman9 may request information or documents to verify identity, age, location, source of funds, payment ownership or other account details. Until verification is completed, access to some or all account functions may be limited. Information must be supplied honestly and in the required form. A failure to complete a reasonable verification request may affect the processing of bets, withdrawals or account activity.
Placing a bet
To place a bet, select the relevant event and market, choose the outcome or selection, enter the intended stake and review the bet slip. The displayed odds, selections, stake, potential return and any applicable conditions should be checked carefully before confirmation. A bet is not complete merely because a selection has been added to a bet slip.
A bet is accepted only when the website confirms acceptance. The appearance of a bet slip or an attempted transaction does not by itself mean that a bet has been accepted. If a bet is rejected, interrupted or not confirmed, it should not be treated as an accepted bet. Players should check their account history or bet records rather than relying only on a screen message.
Once accepted, a bet generally cannot be changed or cancelled by the player unless a cancellation feature is specifically offered and the stated conditions are met. A request to cancel a bet does not automatically cancel it. If an event has started, a market has closed or the bet has already been processed, cancellation may not be available.
Odds, stakes and bet types
The odds shown on the bet slip are the odds associated with the bet at the time it is accepted, subject to the applicable market rules and any correction required under these Betting Rules. Where a bet includes several selections, the rules for the relevant accumulator, combination or multiple bet will apply. Some selections may be unavailable for combination or may be subject to additional conditions.
Minimum and maximum stakes, maximum returns, market restrictions and other transaction controls may apply. Any applicable limits or restrictions will be displayed where relevant or set out in the account terms. Betman9 may refuse, limit or partially accept a bet where permitted by the applicable rules. The acceptance of one bet does not create an obligation to accept a later bet of the same or a different kind.
3. Events, markets and settlement
Event information
Event names, start times, participant names, scores, statistics and other information are provided to assist with betting. Such information may be supplied by third parties and may be delayed, incomplete or subject to correction. Players should not assume that a displayed score or result is final unless the relevant market has been formally settled.
The event rules determine which result is used for settlement. These rules may include the scheduled duration, extra time, official result, abandoned event provisions, participant requirements and any other condition shown for the market. If the relevant market does not state otherwise, settlement will generally be based on the official result or information from a recognised results source.
Pre-event and live betting
Pre-event bets are placed before the relevant event begins. Live or in-play bets are placed after an event has started and may be affected by delays between the event and the information displayed on the website. Prices and market availability can change quickly during live betting. A bet may be accepted at a different price, rejected or placed on hold if the market changes before acceptance.
A bet accepted during a live event remains subject to the market rules, even if the player did not see an important event, score change or other development before the bet was confirmed. Betman9 may suspend a live market when an important event occurs, when information is unavailable or when the integrity of the market needs to be checked.
Settlement and results
Markets are settled when the result is sufficiently established under the relevant rules. A market may be settled before an official ceremony, appeal or later administrative decision if the applicable market rule permits this. If an official result is subsequently changed, the original settlement will normally remain unless the market rules or a clear correction requirement provide otherwise.
Where a market is abandoned, postponed, interrupted, rescheduled or not completed, the outcome will depend on the specific rules for that market. Some bets may remain valid if the required condition has already been determined, while other bets may be declared void. A change of venue, participant, format or event conditions may also affect settlement.
- A selection that is declared the winner under the relevant market rule will be settled as a winning selection.
- A selection that does not meet the stated condition will be settled as a losing selection.
- A void selection is removed from the bet, with the remaining selections treated according to the applicable bet type.
- A bet consisting only of a void selection is generally returned or credited in accordance with the applicable rules.
- Dead heats, ties, draws and shared outcomes are settled under the specific dead-heat or tie rule for the market.
- Each-way, place, line, handicap and special markets may have separate settlement conditions.
4. Errors, void bets and prohibited activity
Obvious errors
An obvious error may include an incorrect price, event, selection, handicap, line, result, market description or other material detail. It may also include a technical or publishing error that causes a bet to be displayed or accepted on terms that are clearly inconsistent with the intended market. Where permitted, an obvious error may be corrected, cancelled or settled using the correct information and the applicable rules.
If an error affects a bet, Betman9 may take reasonable steps to restore the position that would have applied if the error had not occurred. This may include voiding the affected selection, correcting a settlement or adjusting an account entry. The treatment of an error will depend on its nature, when it was identified and the rules applying to the affected market.
Technical problems and interrupted bets
Internet connections, payment services, devices, software and communication networks can fail or become delayed. Betman9 is not responsible for a bet that was not received or accepted because of a technical interruption. If a bet appears to have been submitted but no confirmation is shown, check the account history before attempting to place it again. This helps avoid unintended duplicate bets.
Where a technical fault affects a market, bet, result or account balance, the affected activity may be reviewed and corrected in line with the applicable terms. Players must not attempt to exploit a fault, delay, pricing issue or system weakness. Any such attempt may result in bets being voided, transactions being reversed or account access being restricted.
Integrity and prohibited conduct
Players must not use inside information, coordinate with others to manipulate a market, place bets connected with dishonest conduct or interfere with the proper operation of an event. Account sharing, identity misuse, payment fraud, automated access and attempts to bypass responsible gambling or location controls are also prohibited.
If suspicious activity, a dispute about an event or a potential integrity issue is identified, relevant bets or markets may be suspended while enquiries are completed. Information may be shared with competent authorities, sporting bodies, payment providers or other appropriate organisations where legally permitted or required.
5. Complaints, responsible betting and changes
Questions and complaints
If you believe that a bet has been accepted, settled or recorded incorrectly, review the bet details and raise the issue through the available support process. Include the relevant bet reference, event, market, date and a clear explanation of the concern. Providing complete information can help an enquiry be assessed efficiently.
Complaints are reviewed against the account records, transaction information, market rules, official results and any other relevant evidence. A player may be asked to provide additional information to verify the account or clarify the issue. Nothing in this section limits any rights or remedies that cannot legally be excluded under applicable Australian law.
Responsible gambling
Betting should remain within your financial and personal limits. Before placing a bet, consider how much time and money you can comfortably spend without affecting household expenses, relationships or wellbeing. Never chase losses, borrow money to bet, or continue betting to try to recover money already lost.
- Set a personal budget before you start and stop when that budget is reached.
- Take regular breaks and avoid betting when upset, stressed, tired or affected by alcohol.
- Keep betting separate from essential living expenses and financial commitments.
- Use available account controls, deposit tools, activity information or self-exclusion options where needed.
- Ask for help if betting no longer feels enjoyable or is affecting your finances, work, relationships or health.
Responsible gambling tools and support options may be available through the website. Restrictions, self-exclusion requests and account closures should be used promptly when betting is no longer suitable. A request may be subject to identity checks and the relevant account process. Creating another account to avoid a restriction is not permitted.
Changes to these rules
These Betting Rules may be updated from time to time to reflect changes to the service, markets, technology, legal requirements or operational processes. The current version published on the website applies to future activity from the time it takes effect, unless a different application is required by law. Players should review the rules regularly and before placing significant bets.
